Leading the Rally for HBCUs

Rice Fashion & Athletics & Media and Entertainment Group (Rice FAME Group) was reorganized in August 2019 by founder Lacy L. Rice Jr. He combined former parent companies Talent Pushers, Inc., founded in 1993, and NuBreaks Entertainment, Inc., founded in 1999, into its present form to help streamline and focus operations and activities. Mr. Rice, a graduate of Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU) Kentucky State University and an Army veteran, decided to combine the focus of both companies, which included providing opportunities to those in the entertainment and fashion fields, covering HBCU-focused events, and partnering to produce sports and entertainment events, to be more efficient and effective in objective delivery.

 Past activities by the two parent companies included:

·   Seminars for aspiring entertainers

·   Booking, promoting, and producing concerts, shows, and events, which included a military contract

·   Managing entertainers and models

·   Advising and consulting promoters, artist managers, artists, and models

·   Freelance Photography and videography for models, events, and media entities

·   Interviewing various entities for publications and media

·   Freelance and contracted writing for local, regional, and national publications

·   Creating digital content for global consumption

·   Creating content for various publications

·   Creating and sponsoring awards for events and collegiate athletic programs

We continue to execute these activities by focusing on promoting HBCUs and their alumni. Since 2019, we:

·   Cover several events

·   Partner with several HBCU-promoting organizations

·   Book HBCU alumni and employees for various organizations

·   Identify and create international partnership opportunities for HBCUs

·   Published a pictorial

·   Partnering HBCUs with international opportunities to improve visibility, increase outreach, and enlarge their global footprints
